Here is a photo of the view from the Cornwall side of the closed and undermined Forge Hill Road Bridge over the Moodna Creek.
The picture is looking south-west toward the State Route 32 Steel Bridge, which is not visible.
As you can clearly see, the water is running high, and this is before the expected heavy rainfall of Jan 30, 2013 with between two to three inches in a few hours predicted.
There are large ice cycles hanging from the intact earthen bank over the side of and down and over the washed out and heavily eroded bank, and it appears the washout may be getting larger - it will undoubtedly do so tonight!
It's a sight to see - beautiful in fact, and evidence of the unstoppable power of mother nature.
